Skinless Chicken
Skinless chicken breast contains less fat and phosphorus than chicken with the skin. One cup of cooked, skinless chicken breast (140 grams) includes 104 mg of sodium, 358 mg of potassium, 319 mg of phosphorus, and 44 grams of protein. As a side note, the NIDDK recommends limiting meat and fish portions to 2–3 ounces to prevent excessive kidney workload due to high protein levels. [6]
